Favorite player is not a lot of things in WOW is right to sit down with me. There are always some things that the players complaining about the game is never perfect. For me there are two main types of problems in any game, technology and players created. Technical issues include: class balance, the game's difficulty, the task chain and incentives, new content, balance of the game, patch response and more. Many players that are common in different online games, such as: agriculture, griefing, ganking, and between the ninja looters.
Hit me, although the game's social aspect of the project, I most want to change, in World of Warcraft. What? Not listed above, you say. Ah, you're right. WOW there is a mistake, I am better than any technical or player is all issues related to social issues. Let me provide some background to explain what I mean.
Online games, the aim is to a great social game, where you can in a fictional world with them or their new friends and enemies and adventures. In order to promote this aspect of the game online games have traditionally been and difficult, requiring you to complete the task with other players or attack. This problem has appeared in several other MMO's, but the process is almost as long as the group took part in the pursuit itself. This led to casual gamers are left out, because they can not have enough time dedicated to the group, then the pursuit.
Blizzard deliberately decided the game make it easier for casual players to join, by your self (solo) to complete many tasks. This is World of Warcraft to visit the new and popular online game players one of the things. A nice feature, I think from the beginning, Blizzard go too far. This has strengthened me in the past month or so several times, while leveling a few ALTS (new low-level characters), even in my primary (main character) a few days ago. WOW is too easy to solo, or through the ground until late in the game (55). It does not promote social, group cooperation and, at sufficiently low levels in the game. You really need to group and society is the only place in the end of the game stage.
I continue to look for, and leveling a low level character is almost no consideration to the dungeon (instance) than because of any task group. WOW is filled with any level of the large number of outstanding tasks, but all this means is that you stick to your level of easy ones, you can separate them. In the game you almost never see the message, except for groups to require any instances to run. When I find the task group's news, I rarely get a reply. This happens even when playing a priest or a druid, after seeking and the like.
Even join the Association, most players grinding or solo, to gain experience, level as fast as the end game content, and there is nothing but an instance group is very interested. I have added a few servers and all of its major 200 + person guild. Once in a while will be asked how, but the most common is not.
Then late in the game (55 +) is a huge swing in the game dynamic. Almost all of the pursuit of any adventure you need in a group (5 persons) or RAID (40 people). This is a huge change in the way the game works, who is the new communication and team work or team shocked a lot of players. It also needs to play your character, it is difficult for some players to accept changes.
I met a lot of players in the 50-60 level range is completely confused why the group leader, asking them not to do maximum damage, put a pet, rather than the kite, or some other role groups. Many of these players later admitted they had never really played in a group, at any time, do not understand why they are being asked to do anything different than they usually solo the same time.
What? ? How do you go through an online game, rather than a group? If you can, why it is even an online game? Why not play a single person RPG games (like D & D game).
I knew and understood the game, the complaint needs groups, and take forever to them. However Warcaft world makes it very easy to go to the other end of the spectrum.
So Blizzard, how to deal with this? Our players do?
Blizzard can deal with this very simple task at each level are more difficult, but there are better returns. This will motivate all levels of a number of groups. Reward better items (same level), than you can find through other means, or experience to obtain a larger.
They can also be implemented, such as EverQuest 2 guidance system, which allows a higher level of character to step back temporarily, the level of their friends to help them. Need more players to realize that this is a new game from Blizzard. Although this is a Warcraft game, it is not a game! Players to be educated, mostly solo game play games, they lack so much to enjoy, the game offers.
So next time you see someone asking for help a pursuit, even if it is the one you have done, to lend a helping hand. Game of the social advantages, and made some new friends, take some time, and help a few people. Over time, it will come to repay you. It may be in the task, you need help in the form of, perhaps you need to auction the item fast gold loans, the Society invited your elite guild on the server, or anything else. If nothing else, you will get a lot of new friends in the World of Warcraft, and help you on your server, not just another player to become part of the community.
